Entry Requirements for SIA Security Training

  • Minimum age of 18 on the first day of the course.
  • Valid photographic ID (passport or UK driving licence).
  • Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months).
  • Enhanced DBS check to confirm absence of disqualifying offences.
  • Proficiency in English to read, write, and converse as required by assessments.

Applying for your license

The Steps to get your license:


✅ What To Do Next:

1. Certificates
  • Your certificates have been requested and will arrive in 6–12 weeks.
  • If you’d like a digital copy, let us know.

2. Watch for the SIA Email
  • You’ll get an email from SIA Authority within 24 hours.
  • Check your inbox and spam/junk folder.
  • Do not create a personal SIA account on your own — wait for the official link from SIA.
    • If you’ve already done this, please delete that account and use the correct link instead 😊

3. Create Your Application
  • Once you receive the email:
    1. Accept the invite and use the link to create your SIA account.
    2. Click “Start New Application”.
    3. Choose “Door Supervisor” as the role.
    4. Complete the application.
  • We’ll be notified and will make the payment on your behalf.

Note: It can take up to 2 weeks for your results to appear in the SIA system — don’t worry if you can’t apply right away. Once your account is linked, check your messages in the SIA portal regularly.


4. Final Steps
  • After we process the payment, you’ll be notified to complete your license application.

You’ll receive an SIA application number to show potential employers.
⚠️ You cannot start work as a Door Supervisor until your badge is fully approved.
