MULTIPLY UPDATE

Another month has flown by and not long until Christmas😊

I mentioned last month the amazing feedback we had from a partner who supports people on the ‘Road to Employment Project’. As a result, the partner completed case studies for the learners as they felt their learning experience had been extremely beneficial due to SPS making the necessary adjustments to enable learners to understand, progress, and complete all the activities in each lesson independently!

November has been a busy month, and we have run two mini-tournaments. Rather than do a big one like last year!

South Hill Centre invited us to do one with people who attend their hub. It was great fun due to everyone knowing one another they worked well as teams and were extremely competitive. Everyone was focused on working out the answers to various quizzes and puzzles. We even had a parent bring her child along as was off school, he was happy to be an additional team member and participated in the activities! A great example of a parent helping their child improve numeracy skills 😊

The next tournament was held at Briars Pavillion, Hatfield Community Centre which is a day centre for adults with learning difficulties. They too were keen to engage and have fun with numeracy. More about this in the article from Nish but it was a lovely day, and everyone had fun including staff!

At the end of the tournament the winning team were each awarded Asda vouchers and everyone else small selection boxes plus Multiply T-Shirts which seemed to be the highlight of the day! They decided to all sign one of the T-shirts to keep as a reminder of the day 😊
