CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR WINNERS IN 2024
Our 2024 STRETCH award winners have been selected and have been presented with their certificates and prizes. We were able to celebrate the hard work and dedication of individuals and teams and heard some amazing stories of overcoming adversity and succeeding in achieving ultimate goals. We were very proud of our winners and of all of who helped 2024 to be another successful year. Our full winners list is as follows:
STRETCH AWARD – LEARNER
WINNER Jana Najm
Jana lived and breathed the SPS STRETCH values this year and is the proud recipient of the SPS STRETCH Learner award. Jana’s trainer said ‘Jana specifically demonstrated the EMPOWER, TEAMWORK, TRUST and SUPPORT values during her course. She has since gone on to find work and also manages her own baking business’..
LEARNER OF THE YEAR
WINNER Olivia Bailey
Olivia had been chosen as the SPS 2024 Learner of the Year. Olivia has had an incredible journey with SPS and has overcome and pushed through so many barriers to get to where she is today – participating in a foundation degree at Bristol University! Olivia took the time our of her busy schedule to come back to Hertfordshire to collect her award with her Mum – both are ‘over the moon’ with her achievements’
COMMUNITY LEARNING AWARD
WINNER Petrina Smith
Petrina is the recipient of this years Community Learning award. On receiving her award, Petrina said ‘I want to thank my tutors nish and Julz for helping me get through my courses and always pushing me even when it feels like I wasn’t getting anywhere and always seeing it through for me no matter what life’s thrown at me during these courses, thank you to all the staff and tutors at SPS for always being so welcoming and helpful I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to learn with. Keep up the great work everyone’.
PROGRESSION AWARD
WINNER Debbie Rushforth
Debbie has had such a journey with SPS, completing 8 different courses over a 5 month period. Debbie’s work coach said ‘Though Debbie had come from challenging personal circumstances and was continuing to manage them throughout her courses, she expressed that she found respite in learning with the supportive tutors at SPS’. Debbie now works as a manager in a Care Home and on receiving her award, she said ‘Thank you so very much for this award , I am most grateful’.
LEARNER RECOGNITION AWARD
WINNER Erika Thomas
Erika is the recipient of this years Learner Recognition Award – chosen by the team at SPS Training. Erikas trainer said ‘Erika stepped outside her comfort zone to help build a better life for her family and improve her job prospects. As a result, she has become a role model to her children studying together as a family due to new confidence and knowledge’.
