SPS have been offering a nationwide traineeship programme for learners aged 19-24 for the last 2 years. This programme offers learners the chance to improve their basic skills, gain vocationally relevant qualifications and real industry work experience.
The programme has been popular with employers as they have been able support young people to gain experience and to prepare individuals for potential job vacancies in their own business. Employers also receive a £1000 incentive for each young person they support with a Work Experience placement.
SPS are now pleased to announce that they have been successful with a bid to secure traineeship funding for 16–18-year-olds which now means they are able to offer this opportunity for learners aged 16 through to 24 years old. This contract started on 1st December and SPS are excited to be able to expand this opportunity to be able to help support more young people and the government’s plan for jobs.
